Beech

Beeches like hillsides where they can move freely in the sun and the wind. They are spectacular in autumn, turning a coppery-brown, which often persists through winter. They can live for several centuries when they find a favourable spot.

Back to trees

Beeches have small inconspicuous flowers and produce triangular nuts within spiky husks.
