Hazel

The Hazel is a tree that has inspired poets and musicians, with heart-shaped leaves and edible nuts enclosed in husks. Look for them in hedgerows and in mixed deciduous forests. Hazels are native to Europe and western Asia, and live 70 to 100 years.
