Sessile Oak

You can tell a sessile oak from an English oak as it produces an acorn without a stalk. Sessile oaks are native to Europe and are found on hillsides and in mixed deciduous forests.

Sessile oak leaves are deciduous, with lobed margins, and they turn brown or red in autumn.
